Becoming an advocate is not in the plan for most people, but if you find yourself in this position, where do you start? Kristy Dickinson and Brenda Agnew both found themselves becoming advocates – Kristy as a chronic illness patient and Brenda as a caregiver.
Kristy was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Anklyosing Spondolitis in her late 30s while balancing life as a busy mom of three.
Brenda is the proud mother of two boys, Chase and Maclain. Maclain has severe Cerebral Palsy and profound hearing loss as a result of a condition known as Kernicterus.
In this webinar, they discuss their respective advocacy journeys - as a chronic illness patient and a caregiver. They talk about the early days of diagnosis, obstacles they've faced, and they share some strategies to help navigate this journey.
